F.U.E. hair transplant

F.U.E. : Follicular Unit Extraction also known as Micro-follicular hair transplants.

This procedure is practiced by very few surgeons in the world but it is interesting in some cases. During the Follicular Unit Extraction or FUE procedure individual follicular unit grafts are excised one at a time using a tiny one millimeter or less sized punch These grafts are then relocated on the bare spots.
The procedure is very long and the operation lasts at least 5 to 6 hours for 2500 strands of hair.
The F.U.E. also requires shaving the donor area, which is not necessarily accepted by all patients. Its main advantage lies on the fact it results no visible scarring in the donor area.
Only 4 or 5 practitioners in the world master the performance of FUE procedure.
It is advisable to stop at 2500 strands of hair per each FUE session .
This procedure is 2 to 3 times more expensive than the FUSS. It is a little the highest couture of hair transplant.
